Shigeki Saitoh, Representative Director and CEO

Graduated from The University of Tokyo, Majored in economics.
Entered NTT in 1985 when it was privatized. Engaged in the sales and marketing of communications network for large accounts, planning and design telephone tariff strategy and service agreements of telecommunication services and responsible for the negotiations with the government.

Received an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 1997, with a focus on high-tech venture business management.  Entered Netscape Communications Corporation. Organized portal business in the Japanese Market.

In Digital Garage Inc., provided strategic internet solutions to major companies as Representative Director, as a key management member, COO,  during the IPO process.  Developed a method of new business establishment with major companies, called sponsored incubation. 

After Digital Garage group, expanded the territory into digital convergence area, including media, and deigital content, such as movie, music, animation, while foreseeing next business stage of development in broadband internet mergin with telecommunicaiton and broadcasting areas.

Currently dedicated in hands-on investment in the colaboration for business creation with our portfolio companies in not only IT business area, but also new Innovation areas, such as clean-tech, recycle, and agri business.

As a professor at the Graduate School of Digital Content at Digital Hollywood University, teaches "IT Business in unification of communications and broadcasting," "Venture capital business".

Graduated from Hokkaido University, Majored in law.  Worked as a director of investment trust department at Nomura Securities Co., Ltd. Established the investment business partnership on the civil codes in JAFCO Co., Ltd., the first full-fledged venture capital firm in Japan as its founding member.  Also, a founder of Japan Asia Investment CO., Ltd. and CSK Venture Capital CO., Ltd.

Established the Japan capitalist club and played a role of a leader to independent venture capitalist.  In 1996, established SIP Inc.  Currently, SIP's founder and chairman.

Akira Shirakawa, Director and GM, Business Development

Graduated from Hitotsubashi University, majored in commerce and management.  Entered JAFCO.  Supported portfolio companies  with hands-on IPO and investment development to venture companies.  Assisted 29 companies for IPOs for 15 years.  In 1996, joined Urban  Corporation as a director of IPO.  Led the company to IPO in JASDAQ,  promoted disclosure business as an IR director.

In 2000, he was invited to UFJ Tsubasa Hands-on Capital Corporation (currently, MU Hands-on Capital Ltd.in Mitsubishi Financial group) as the first CEO.  Developed the venture capital organization from scratch and was in charge of recruiting, team formation, a fund plan and operation management system.  As Chief Investment Officer of investment committee, he was responsible for overall investment development.  Received investment from "public sector" and "pension fund," which are usually very strict about judicial responsibility and operated and managed total fund of 13.31billion yen in limited partnership method.  At the same time, invested 94 venture companies, among which are in the early stage.  For 5 years, managed EXIT in total of 26 companies (including Buy-backs, among them is 11IPO companies.)  Successful EXIT ratio is 26/94≒27.6%(among which is successful IPO ratio is 11/26≒42.3%) In June, 2005, when Mitsubishi Tokyo group and UFJ group were merged, left the company.  In 2006, joined SIP as a director.

Born in 1968. Graduated from Medical School at Chiba University and received medical doctor license in 1993.  Worked as a medical doctor at Keio University Hospital and its affiliated hospitals. 

In 1997, received an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.  Entered The Boston Consulting Group Inc.. Participated in strategic management consulting for number of global enterprises, mainly healthcare related companies. 

In 2001, entered SOFTBANK Holding. Worked as a director of business strategy, under Mr. Son, CEO.  Managed number of investments and alliances, as well as built overall corporate strategy.  In 2001, left SOFTBANK Holding.  Received total investments of 10 billion yen from 12 corporate investors and business corporation, including SOFTBANK group. 

Established VC fund, specializing in bio technology and medical equipment field (SB Life Science Ventures I, L.P.)  From the company establishment, managed and structured fund investment strategy, operation scheme, organization structure, including recruiting human resource, investment project, corresponding LP investors.  Total management of fund management. 

Actively participating in business in number of early stage companies in bio technology and medical equipment in North America.  Led those companies success by way of IPO or M&A.

Graduated from Chuo University, majored in Faculty of Commerce in 1972.  Graduated from a master course of Chuo University, majored in Faculty of Commerce in 1974.  Entered in Chuo Kyodo Audit Corporation (current KPMG Azsa & Co.).  Became one of the partners of Inoue-Saito-Eiwa Audit Corporation in 1991.   In 2006, became a partner in charge of  IPO department in Tokyo office of KPMG AZSA & Co. Became a partner in charge of The Fifth Division (Tokyo office), one of the Tokyo Office board members,  a partner in charge of IPO department, and one of the executive board members of KPMG AZSA & Co.   After retirement of KPMG Azsa & Co, Established Miya-Naohito Public Accounting Firm.
